#FREESOURCE: Motivate yourself

hasslemeSometimes we all need a little motivation. Short of employing a PA or a mentor, you can hassle yourself for free using a handy little website called HassleMe. All you do is add a hassle, something that you need to do and you know you won’t unless you’re continually reminded. There is no log-in, simply write out the hassle, indicate roughly how many days between each email together with your email address, and the system will send you a randomly timed reminder.

have two hassles set up on the system, one a reminder to write a daily blog entry and the other to do some sport every day. They do seem to be working for me. Here are some examples of other people’s hassles:

  • Inhale. Exhale. Do it again. And again. Smile. Live in the present. Have faith in the future. Know that you are on the right path. Remember who you are—roughly every 2 days
  • Be strong. Be beautiful. Go for a walk today no matter what. Take time for you! Love yourself!—roughly every 2 days
  • Follow up with 3 people about my business—roughly every 1 day

You get the idea: create a hassle and do what you are told.
